One North East, along with all the English regional development agencies (RDAs), will close at the end of March 2012. As part of this process, the North East Ambassadors programme has now been formally closed.

The North East Ambassadors programme was developed to unite passionate people in the region who wished to spread the word about what an excellent place North East England is to live, work and visit. North East ambassadors helped to promote the region far and wide – being spokespeople for the region, appearing in the ‘Passionate People. Passionate Places’ campaigns, supporting PR and using the ‘Passionate’ brand on their own materials. Over the last three years, One North East developed over 1,000 bespoke ‘Passionate about’ logos for North East ambassadors.

One North East would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your continued support and hope that, although the programme itself has drawn to a close, that you will continue to promote North East England.
